Haima 3 – Sports Edition, on the market next month

Haima 3 Sports Edition, on the market next monthThe popular Haima 3 has been given a mild sports make over, with a view to stealing some of SouEasts younger buyers away from the Lioncel and into the 3. The outer appearance remains the same, except for sports additions such as a small bodykit, but under the metal is where the big changes have been made.

The suspension has been upgraded to a ‘sports style‘ (presumably stiffer springs) the interior has been de-faux woodified, and replaced with some tasteful black/silver plastic. Under the hood, the engine remains the same, but tuned slightly to give the driver a bit more omph at the wheel. Check out the previous article on the Haima 3 Sports.

Is this great-looking car based on the current Mazda3? Does it handle as well as the current Mazda3? If so, and if the engineering/safety money has been properly spent, this vehicle could be a Renault/Dacia Logan-style hit in Germany.

      Brian,

I am not entirely sure of the Hainan – Mazda tie up – Are Mazda still sharing tech with Hainan Autos, or are they going down their own route?

It sure looks enough like the Mazda3…
