The Haima 3 sedan is quite a popular sedan, it has the style of its previous joint venture partners vehicles, Mazda, and has the cheapness of a domestically made vehicle. The Haima 3 hatchback follows on with the design theme from Mazda, especially the Mazda 3 hatchback. The pictures below, taken from Autohome.com.cn, also show the styling cues that Mazda has borrowed from other chinese made vehicles such as the Buick HRV and the rear bumper of a Mazda 3.

The Haima 3 will also have a sports model, like the sedan, which will have certain sports styling on the outside.

So instead of the motto being, “zoom, zoom, zoom” like it is for Mazda. Is it “boom, boom, boom” for the Haima? I wonder what the crash test results are for this vehicle.
Yes . . . blatant Daewoo Lacetti/Buick HRV 5 door in the three-quarter view and Mazda3 Hatch from the back. Too bad. This car could have been more interesting.
It’s no surprising anymore.
I think I’m getting used to see how Chinese automakers are copying existent models…
Mind you, even Hyundai (i30) steals directly from BMW (1 series). It happens all the time and to be honest, I don’t think this is really copycatting - it’s more like stealing and mixing up some ideas from other cars.
Furthermore, I think this Haima 3 is way better looking than the Lacetti, which only had a nice rear but forgot the rest of the design.
