QQ5: On sale in second half of 2008
The interestingly styled QQ5 will go on sale in the second half of 2008 according to our sources. The QQ5 is dubbed as being the sports version of the regular QQ series, the 1.3l engine although much smaller than most ‘sporty’ hot hatches can pack a punch with its top speed of 167kph. The QQ5 comes with an AMT gearbox.
From our sources, the car is much bigger than the QQ3, despite being a 3 door, the wheelbase is reportedly the same length as the QQ3, but the amount of interior space has been improved. The QQ5 has also seen a vast improvement to the overal quality of the vehicle. The first QQ, now the QQ3, was one of Cherys first range of vehicles which was cloned from the Chevrolet Spark. The quality and the design of the QQ5 are set to show that Chery have invested a lot into quality control over the past years.
The QQ5 has been under development for the past few years since it was unveiled as the Chery WOW concept car in 2005, Chinese consumers can expect to buy a 1.3l QQ5 aka Chery QQ Sports in the second half of 08 where it will be aimed at younger people who want a sporty, fashionable, and economical motor.

Purple?

At first I found this “butt crack” ugly, but I can’t say it’s without its charms. I’ll take this over a copy anyday. Now add a layer of pearlesence and it’ll make it even funkier

Cars are not supposed to be charming; big booty blondes in pump high heels with black garter belts and nylons “are” charming.
But this under powered death trap type purple go-cart “is not” charming, unless you want to get your _ss kicked on the South side of Chicago…It’s purple like a cheap jelly bean made with corn syrup.
