Spotted one today on the back of a transporter, they look really good. Now the competition is set

Brilliance FRV V's BYD F3R V's Chery A3 Hatch (when launched) V's Geely Vision Hatch

I think I'd take the FRV, myself.

I must say it IS a nice looking car - and I've seen it. The official debut was at the Shenzhen auto show.....I was there last friday (6/6) and seeing it in person was a pleasant surprise. DEFINITELY the best looking production Geely yet! The 5 door king kong has a more confident appearance than the 4 door version - NOT rounding out the back hatch (a la the Chery A3 or Ford Focus) area is a big reason I think. The interior is virtually identical to the 4 door version, which is not a bad thing - the king kong interior has always been pleasing in my opinion. The 5 door version also offers a 60/40 split rear seat....which is a first for Geely (I've always been bothered by the fact that they never offered a split fold down rear seat in previous models like the Merrie or Haoxing). Overall a very nice car - it's not up to the "classy" appearance of the Brilliance FRV BUT it is 10,000 rmb cheaper (compared to the price of the FRV 1.6AT). Congrats Geely - hope this is a sign of better things to come!

Rather good looking for 70k. Since it's a 1.5L, it sounds like the Toyota-licensed engine from the CK. Let's hope it's safer than the CK! Hm, and interestingly enough, I just found out Geely only started making cars in 1998! Impressive improvments in such a short time.
