I'm sure I saw one of those Geely pick-ups, in Costa Rica, on the outskirts of San Jose.

If I recall, they didn't start to market this car (the original GT) until 2004-2005 or so. At first it was a upgrade of the base model Mei re, and then it was sold side by side with the 2nd generation Mei re (maybe it was just a easy way to sell the remaining stocks of FIRST generation models). I liked this car too, it had a unique allure to it. As far as the pickup truck.......I have NEVER seen one on the road. Did they ever put the pickup into production? I always thought not......have you ever seen one Ash?

Oh yeah, I remember this car..........it was a spiced up version of the old Mei re. It also had back up radar (object collision sensors), you can see the sensors in the back bumper if you look close - and it also had a remote opening lever for the back hatch (something that is STILL not common even with today's current models). Pretty cool little car (although the interior was a bit garish when you sat in it), and the 1.3 engine was no slouch!! The new Geely CE compact concept is a PRIME candidate for the "hot hatch" treatment......let's hope they're smart enough to do it!
