The BYD F1 is not set to be one of the cheapest cars on the roads today, instead its looking more like its going to be priced in the mid 40,000rmb marker.
BYD dealers are currently accepting deposits on the F1, which will be priced between 40,580rmb and 50,580rmb, depending on specifcation.

I assume this is for the 1.3 model? That is what I was told at the Shenzhen show (by the BYD people) and the model I looked at up close was a 1.3………I’m MUCH more interested in test driving the 1.0 model. Self developed by BYD, a 3 cyl., 12 valve SOHC engine - could be pretty impressive (for it’s size) AND supposed to get GREAT gas mileage.
If the price noted in a previous comment is less than 6k than it is a good deal. At least the car doesn’t look like that ugly Geely with the carp fish mouth and loads of cheap plastic…Ugly! This one I could drive all day long in Chicago or Bagdadio, Brilliant! A small good looking car a car bomber would be proud to see 72 virgins in…Brilliant
