Santana + Fiber glass + mad weekend = ocean going vessel with gullwing doors

This has to be the most awesome Chinese vehicle we’ve ever seen. Nothing gets better than this, not the Roewe 750, the 550, the Geely GT, or anything else we’ve ever mentioned as being great, or awesome.

This guy took his Santana 1000, a whole wad of fiber glass (there doesnt appear to be any metal panel lines down the sides)  and for extra added ultra coolness:

The guy has added twin boat propellers to get him across lakes, and added gullwing doors to make himself more attractive to the ladies, although we’re pretty sure the Ferrari like make over the car has had would do an excellent job.

According to information gathered to date, the car and refit cost several thousand Wan, i.e. several thousand US Dollars, and is often seen testing around the waters of Qin Huang Dao.

Totally awesome. We’re inspired!

Looks like a yellow 70′s Opel manta making love to a Amphibi-car. Brilliant. Where’s can a cool “towel wearing” dude like me buy one. If I could purchase…say 50 or so with the gouging, money grubbing oil money my Saudi brothers are making we could make the US 7th fleet shudder, or least give them easy target practice and a few laughs. Brilliant! Ladies will love it? Not unless their body temp drops to room temp….Or if she’s a blind deaf toothless mute who owns a secong hand lingerie store in Alabama…Brilliant!

looks nothing like an Opel Manta to me, but it does look pretty damn cool. Reminds me of the 70′s-80′s kit cars in the UK and U.S. Why don’t Geely give this guy some cash and an old chassis and see what he comes up with?

Do the props run off the car engine or is there a boat motor tucked away in the boot?? would be great to see some pics of this in the water.

I’m trying to figure out whether the “Bin Laden” character is actually entertaining or not. The mannerisms reminds me of somebody from EnglishRussia (same name as well).

Actually I from a small village just outside of Quebec Canada. My father was Austrian and my mother was Aborigine. I do like like the idea that I can entertain and piss off (U) at the same time. I guess it a knack I picked up from my 5th wife.

Who says anybody is ticked? I think what you just said is the epitome of putting words in ones mouth. I have nothing against you, I hope you do not take this the wrong way when I say, I hope you’re not here to troll. By the way, Ash does run this site and he considers it family friendly, so be aware he tries to keep this site clean and civil. Again, nothing against you, I’m just explaining to you why certain comments or words got deleted since he does monitor his own webpage and it is up to his discretion.

My comment about it being Lame was deleted. Phunny. One man calls it Sino Lambo cool and I call it lame-o. Phunny I didn’t use swear words but it went (mine) away…I smell monitoring.

This belongs on Top Gear. They should fly over to China and set up the boat/car competition again!

I’m afraid Mister Clarkson would want to mount a jet engine to this vehicle and somehow the Hamster would end up in the hospital again due to some related hot vapor injury. However, I’m confident Captain Slow would win this challenge again.

What a pity. I do not see any pictures throughout the whole weblog. I would be curious what a Lambo Santana looks like!
