SCEO German sales plan slapped down by Judge

Bad news for Double Ring:

MUNICH — A court has banned German sales of an SUV made by Chinese automaker Shuanghuan.

The court in Munich ruled that Shuanghuan’s CEO infringes BMW’s design rights. BMW claims the CEO closely resembles its X5 premium SUV. It started legal proceedings last September to stop CEO sales in Germany.

Shuanghuan’s German importer China Automobile Deutschland denied that the CEO infringes BMW’s design rights.

Managing Director Karl Schloessl told Automotive News Europe that the CEO was a totally different car from the X5. “Even when you look at some BMWs and some Audis, there are similarities,” he said.

Schloessl said that he planned to appeal against the court ruling. ‘It is a one-sided judgment, but of course it was made in Munich. It’s a BMW city,” he said.

Yes, there are similarities. BMWs and Audis do, in fact, have tires and wheels.

What a wanker that Schloessl is.

China needs to get innovative but we here all know that takes time, investment, effort and…well…innovative minds.

Signing off forever. Any remark made that could be taken wrong by the guys in dark green with little red stars are being removed from this web site, I’ve noticed this a lot more lately. To those in China do you know about the incident in Guizhou? Thought not. Censorship is a bad thing. IF I can’t something sarcastic about a Chinese car thats ugly; you print those things positive (and I do think there are some awesome ones) then it sez something about where you are and where you’re going. SAD.

Im well aware of the incident in Guizhou, thanks for asking.

Your mildly racist comments about ‘brothers’ etc really do belong in another era. You will not be missed. Goodbye.

So the picture with this post, is it a BMW or a CEO? I honestly can’t tell. Now maybe some of you more keen car people can, but I think I should be able to tell, too, without a close inspection.
