I think it’s a touch on the extreme side- a teenaged boys vision. Given the 30 yrs plus marketplace they’re heading for, a few discreet nips and tucks would be more appropriate than what we have here – for European tastes anyway.
I live in Chengdu – have long waited the opportunity to buy and ride a nice bike to work – however office is located in the very center of the city. It’s unfortunate to think that I have to wait until our office is out of the CBD to ride a bike around, but understand the concerns.
It’s odd in that, Hong Kong allows motorbikes everywhere – how can they pull it off and the mainland has trouble?
As far as Rover is concerned, this is the best thing the design team have done in years. I am lead to believe that it is the same design team from Longbridge. It is fresh look. Look at any car on the road and you can see a similarity. Don’t Fords, Jags, Volvos and Astons share the same designs. Audi’s, VW the new Seat releaded in 09. They are all copoed in some way. I believe people still see a Rover and are put off by the name. I know we won’t see a Roewe in the UK but bring on the MG brand. By the way if you sift through old PRE-Chineese pictures of Rover MGs you can see this car was on the drawing board for some time, or something that resembles it. Long Live MG.
Roewe should learn to leave a good thing alone. Now it looks like the previous generation Corolla S .. *shudder*

Looks like it’s had a midlife crisis.
Was it the same stylist that turned the Qvale Mangusta into the MG SV?
