Jing - this is not LNG. It's LPG.

The consumption is 25-50% worse compared to petrol and the power is reduced 20-30%, albeit based on Australian taxi figures.. small 4 cyl will me different.

I can't find any info on the actual fuel consumption, but apparently Geely was working on a LPG TX4 for Hong Kong back in 2007. So perhaps this is where the tech came from. The sources on Wiki are dead now, so I can't find out if it was a dual fuel or what.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't seem very economical to me.

60 liters at 4.2rmb per liter for a total of 180 km means about $0.204 per kilometer driven

For comparisons sake, a 15 gallon car at $3.75 per gallon for an average distance of 500 km means only $0.113 per kilometer driven.

This makes liquified natural gas twice as expensive?

This looks like a prototype. I hope the production model's luggage room has a more finished appearance.

They should export it to europe! The market in Germany is desperate for low-budget super economical cars. LPG is around .70€ a litre while petrol is around 1.40€ a litre in Germany.
