Ash,
I guess we all see things in a much different view.
This copy of the 300-C is much more elegant. The 300-C was a smaller copy of the Bently Turbo, but JAC has refined the appearance by adding more UK style. It presented it with a bit of 70's style Jaguar both back and front and does offer more appeal.
The 300-C was a baby bently copy that looked like it was crushed from the front and back, but still retained much of the turbo bently styling.
The JAC version adds a touch of class and even my wife approves of this version :-)

James May on the Mitsuoka Galue:
"[...] This car does make me smile. It's not taking itself too seriously. It's just like a bit of fun - a bit like one of those tribute bands. Born again: Led Zed, The Strolling Bones. Like those bands, it knows it's not the real thing. But more importantly it knows that you know it's not the real thing. And anyway, at the the end of the evening you're still just as drunk and you still had a great time, but it only cost you a fiver!"

Wondering if he had said the same about this one ...

I thinks somebody's laughing at some of you in Beijing. For some DUMB reason I think this was not done at JAC...Maybe a weekend design expo from one of the guys on the floor, the fit and finish is way too bad to be JAC. I do like the grill, reminds of the grill at a BBQ place I ate at in K City.
Kudos! I do have to say I've seen more, no better designs here lately! Being off the board for 6-7 months has its benifits.
Keep up the good work Ash. Jim

By different you mean terrible right? It's not about you Chinese poorly copying every design (and you can't deny you don't), but its when you decide to be "original" that you make something a blind person wouldn't be seen in.

You are obviously blinded by your nationalism, yes?

They did a good job copying the Benz in the rear - they should've stuck with it for the front, rather than switching to a different car.

It does have a passing resemblance to a Chrysler, but not a 50's chrylser like the 300 but a 1934 Chrysler Airflow.

There is not one redeeming feature of this vehicle forward of the A pillar.
This beats the 90's frog eyed Ford Scorpio and the Pontiac Aztek in the ugly stakes by miles.
Has this been cobbled together by a competitor, given a JAC badge and sneakily parked on the street for people to laugh and cringe at?
