Spy pictures of the Lifan 720 were leaked onto Sohu’s motoring portal yesterday, the picture, that looks liket it was taken on a cellphone during a meeting, appears to show a large luxury style sedan, that is rumoured to be the Lifan 720, or for those cynical ones amongst us, a cloned Honda Accord.

Lifan previously came under attack for its rather MINI-like Lifan 320.

Lifan cars perform well in crash tests but I don’t know why they keep on copying like this.

It’s what the Accord wanted to look like.

This is what happens when you leave an Accord and a Chrysler Sebring in the garage together too long. They produce one of these.

These Lifan folks could possibly come to the US before others given their Euro and safety position !!!

Whilst I would agree this design has echoes of other designs saying it is a direct clone of any of the above cars is a bit much. I can’t see any of them particularly in it. I think this looks a good effort by Lifan and what looks like a nice car. Much better than the ugly 620 and 320.
