Chery QQ Crossover
Chery shocked us with their suprise announcement of the Faira series of cars earlier this year, it seemed like they were planning to run the new Faira series of cars up against their well established Q-series of mini cars, which caused confusion for many. The amongst the Fairawas the crossover model, odly named ‘JJ’, crossovers have become business in China recently, with Suzuki, VW, and MG all offering crossovers, crossover has now got its own Chinese name, 跨界车 (kua jie che) which shows that the market segment is starting to get serious, although Chery’s offering is coming a little late to the market, but if priced right, it could win converts who wanted products from the international brands but find them out of their reach price wise.
Although it looks like this particular test mule hasnt been out on the road for a while, it looks like Chery are getting closer to producing the Faira JJ Crossover. Information on engines, and pricing has yet to be released, or leaked by Chery or other parties, but China Car Times can guess that the Fairas will range from 1.3 to 1.5l engines and will be priced in the sub 80,000rmb segment.

Not to bad, but the door handles look weird.
