Oh my! Roewe goes Chavy for Guangzhou
What was going through SAIC executives mind when they came up for the plans to show off ‘modified’ Roewe 550′s at the Guangzhou Auto Show this week? It looks like SAIC ram-raided Halfords over the weekend and picked up just about every tacky after market accessory they could! At least they didnt do much to alter the fantastic exterior, or hopefully dampen the excellent drive. Although perhaps the gold sequin seats would be a bit off putting on a sunny day.
We’re off to be sick now, toodle-pip!

Where are you from ? if you are from one of those democratic countries that cannot even make anything that look half decent or at least a bicycle then I suggest you keep quiet and allow the peace to be maintained here.
There is a lot of money in China – but NO taste!!
“Lot of money in China – but NO taste”???
Got news for you pal: that problem is worldwide and not limited to China. Just look at the “Hip Hop” world in the U.S. and soccer stars in Europe/UK.
It’s just that the Cantonese Chinese *particularly* have no taste (that’s why these models were shown in the GZ Auto Show!)…
My vote for most fashionable Chinese city goes to Liuzhou (home of that flash Chevy/Daewoo thing). Guangzhou copies HK a lot but at least after they leave high school they stop wearing tracksuits and sweatshirts, unlike up north…
I once saw a guy get out of a modded 206 wearing a gold Kappa tracksuit, as soon as my headlights struck his bacofile-like clothing he looked like Armstrong on his moon walk.
