Skoda Fabia launched, more expensive than VW Polo?
Skoda launched last year in China with their fantastic Octavia model, which has been their only model for China to date, but that doesn’t seem to have effected sales at all. Skoda have bloomed from no where to actually being in the monthly top ten sedan sales lists on many occasions. Skoda have finally got their act together and launched the Skoda Fabia at this weeks Guangzhou Auto Show, however, it appears that the Fabia’s price tag may actually be higher than its relation, the VW Polo.
Skoda could be placing the Fabia at a higher price level due to its ‘funkyness’ over the quite frankly, bland, Polo. Initial reactions to the forth coming Fabia at the Guangzhou Auto Show appeared to be highly positive, showing that Skoda have managed to come into China at a very late point (actually, this would be their second entry into China), which shows that even now a manufacturer can easily enter, and be succesful in China.
Skoda dealers have reportedly already received the Fabia test cars, and it will come in eight different colors.
