New Buick Regal launched in the PRC
The new Buick Regal has finally been launched in the PRC, and the prices are anything but expensive.
The first generation Buick Regal had the luxury sedan market cornered when it first arrived in China, its pricing was unbeatable and the car was very good too. The Insignia pretty much became the backbone of business, and governments across China. However, over the past few years the competition has certainly heated up, with rivals coming from Japan in form of the Accord, Camry, and the Teana, as well as domestic produce such as the Brilliance BS6.
The new Regal has its work cut out for it, especially from the Japanese mid size sedans, and ever increasingly from the Japanese. International monetary worries will also play a factor in whether or not the Regal will become a sales hit, after all, who wants to buy a high ticket item from a potentially doomed company? (Although GM reported that GM China is extremely profitable, and will invest further into it)
The specifications for the new Regal are as follows:

“and the prices are anything but expensive.”
Is there a good source for MSRP on China vehicles somewhere? I think a very valuable resource would be a table with a list of cars available in China and their MSRP…anyone?
CCT – soon. Database is being populated right now!
This might actually be finished in the next three months.
Awesome, was hoping something like this would be in the works for a long time.
Thanks for your efforts, Ash.
this is an awesome vehicle..!!!
.
you guys got one of the best cars GM has to offer nowadays.
it’s a pity they don’t offer V6′s for that
Jackson,
Its very strange, the last Regal came in an odd no of models, from 2.5 V6 with wheel trims to 3.0 and higher fully loaded V6′s.
But you’re right, the China GM line up is rather impressive when compared to its US line up. Obviously lacking the SUV’s and trucks, but the Chevy Capitva is a good start (albeit imported from Korea)
Good post.
What a role will Buick play in China car inducstry in 2009?
Good day everybody.
Anybody out there can help to elaborate the maintenances of this car Regal 2.0L. Thanks inadvance.
