Chery MX – in all its rendered glory

Chery appears intent on entering Porsche territory at some point in the future, should they launch the below Chery MX concept.

Information on the MX is few and far between, but the Chinese speculators are saying there is a possibility of it being electrically powered should it be launched (despite it having tail pipes in one drawing)

The side profile looks strikingly similar to the Nissan 350Z…

I hate seeing rendered concept cars. I hate seeing cars that never make the light of day.

It frustrates me when looking at making a new car purchase, seeing “concepts” all over, and looking at the actual cars available and going – What the f*ck? Where’s the relationship? *sigh*

I want to see Chery M14 go into production first.

Why? The M14 is ugly, dated, and hideous. This has really good proportions, could easily be a FWD coupe (or hardtop convertible) that could be a serious attempt at challenging western rivals. (In styling, at least)

They’d have to raise it about 6″ to drive on most of China’s potholed streets, though.
