Landwind are BACK and they mean BUSINESS
Landwind shot to infamy with their Landwind X6 SUV, which rather prematurely went to Europe and was destroyed in a crash test. The crash test was carried out by ADAC, who seem to garner great pleasure in destroying Chinese made cars, the Brilliance BS6 also fell foul of ADAC. German safety standards company, TUV, retested the X6 and found that it met all European safety standards The new Landwind X8 SUV looks to be a massive design improvement on the old Isuzu Rodeo that made up the Landwind X6:
Details on the platform used, or chassis, are not currently available. Engines may possibly VM R425 2.5l diesel engines, and also a 2.5l gasoline R425DOHC engine from VM Motori.
More information as and when we get it!

Nice look and looks mysterious
Difficult to tell from the angles (the non camo ones) but it seems to look a bit like the Hover, so could this too be Axiom based?
Possibly, some sites are saying its the best GWM Hover fighter to date.
I saw one of these with ministry of fishes, or water, or some other ministry logo’s down the side of it over the weekend:

It looks very good, so Im wondering why it hasnt become a ‘Hover Fighter’ at all?
and how does the crash test this time look like ?
Just enough to get three stars, I presume.
I could see two different models on those pictures, would maybe be the case that they are preparing two models for Jiangling Group (one for Landwind another for Changan)? Anyway both models seem to be very nice, i personally like much more the one without the mask tapes.
Also concerning the crash tests performed bz ADAC, they are just not independent! In the case of the Brilliance BS6 it is clearly visible that the longarins were cutted in order to increase the damage during the crash test.
Best regards,
J.I.Hosang
The uncamouflaged blue and black cars seem to be very different from the camouflaged one. Headlights, hatch, rear light rear profile are all very different. Must be two different cars!
More details on this decent looking car…
Just in time – an SUV that no one wants to buy and not a very attractive one.

Landwind CV9 scored 2/5 in official EuroNCAP test, making it the lowest scoring vehicle under the revised crash test to date.
@ IHC
Trying to bash China with this little Landwind CV9 is pretty low.
Landwind models are just recycling 80′s Japanese technology, what can you ask for from these SUVs? Do you think Jiangling has the capability to make SUVs in par with Toyota/Honda? You pay what you get, people who buy Landwind SUVs know what they are buying. Scoring 2/5 is better than ZERO.
