Chery A6CC spotted in England

The Chery A6CC will be Chery’s first jump into the sports market niche, and they plan to jump two feet first. The A6CC was spotted out testing in the UK, undergoing some Lotus handling tuning.

The A6CC will be a major competitor to the Brilliance Coupe, a 1.8T model. Except the A6CC will be packing major heat in the form of a 3.0 VVT V6 when launched later this year, a 4 cylinder 2.0l will be offered for the posers that like the car, but dont want the power. The A6CC will be followed by a convertible model, possibly in 2010.

Looks great! If it drives as well as it looks it won’t be hard to find dealers! Can I have a franchise please?

Off topic, but I really like this pastel yellow; haven’t seen it since the New Beetle was released and I think VW ended up replacing it with the old mustard-y yellow found on the GTI (also nice) (at least over here in Canada).

But like VAVA1 said; awesome car! And damn I’m glad someone over at Chery has heard of Lotus. Good sign that they’re focusing more on quality than quantity these days. What an improvement over cars like the “oriental son”.

Looks a little like the Mercury Couger at some angles, like the 1st poster said. If quality is OK it should sell. Too bad I can’t buy one in the US.
