The China Dragon to launch this month
The China Dragon is not quite the Geely Tiger concept from last year, but it’s certainly interesting anyway (perhaps for all the wrong reasons), set to launch later this month with a 1.5l and a 1.8L engine. We honestly dont know what else to write. Here’s the pictures:

Looks like a Ford Probe that has been savagely beaten with the ugly-stick.
I believe the appearance may be appealing to some (though not many), but then you see those tiny little exhaust pipes from under that large rear section…
That would make you the laughing stock at the local McDonalds.
If it has the 14″ wheels and the original geely Karaoke from the Ugly Leopard then this is a seller !
Martin , what exhaust pipes ? its a 1.5L car .. it doesn’t exhaust anything but ugliness .
the two black holes at the front are also geely original design ideas .. the concept is that the mechanic can reach the car inner stuff without lifting the hood , minimizing repair time ( which according to Geelys known reliability is ALOT ).
You sure those aren’t machine guns sticking out of the back?
Why doesn’t Geely do China a favour and give up? Are they ever going to produce anything worth driving? Yeah sure they’ve done all those OK concepts but where are they on the production lines?
@Mark
They are on the Production Lines !
They just never came out of it yet .
Some spokesman mentioned something about ” Pigs Flying ! ” .
What the HELL is Geely thinking? I am REALLY shocked that they are letting this thing go into production…..and I thought Geely was starting to figure it out with cars like the (upcoming)CE and the 5 door King Kong. Oooooops……guess I was wrong.
@CryptonX
I would drive a flying pig, but this…
I wonder if the exhaust system goes 4-2-1, 4-2 or 4-1-2….. cheap buggers could have pipe some 5 inch stainless steel drainpipe exhaust tips to make it look the part.
“Looks like a Ford Probe that has been savagely beaten with the ugly-stick.”
Funny you should make this observation since the Dragon’s firewall does actually look like it has been savagely beaten, to accept an alien powerplant.
Anyone see the NCAP crash results for this model?
Looks like a cross between a probe, Tiburon, Eclipse,
throw in ugly and wam, this is that car!
When will it be launched in SA, anf the price?
Do you seriously want this car? Perhaps a visit to your local mental health practitioner would be a cheaper option?
