Citroen C4 Sedan Spy Pics

25 March 2009 4 Comments

The Citroen C4 sedan is set to launch in China later this year, but in the meantime the compact sedan is still out roadtesting in rather poor camoflauge:

The Citroen C4 was launched in China with a new name, the C-Quattre, and has sold reasonably well since its launch. The sedan will possibly do better sales wise than its hatchback brother, due to the Chinese appetite for compact sedans.

Is the C-Quattre a new name? I would have thought that’s what the C4 is known as in the French and Belgian markets albeit quatre!

Does anyone know then if this is the sedan C4 what exactly the C-Triomphe (sp?) is?

Actually, its the C-Quatre, my mistake.

From what I understood, the C-Triumphe is a the C4 with a boot on it. The Chinese C-Quatre looks a lot smaller than the imported C4, there are Dongfeng-Citroen people reading, so perhaps they’ll supply an answer?!

In China C4 is called C-Quattre. The reason is that C4 sounds like Death in Mandarin so, Citroen decided to change the name.

Based on the picture it is exactly what I expected from a french car – ugly, poorly designed, and I’m sure it will be unreliable.
