Hello Gents – I’m the Riich M1
Chery’s second car for the Riich brand is set to be launched at the Shanghai Auto Show in two weeks time. The Chery M1 is aimed squarely at young inner city consumers who want something along the lines of a Toyota Yaris, or a Honda Fit but at much lower price. The M1 is expected to take on the ‘Japanese 3′, which is formed of the Suzuki Swift, the Honda Fit, and the Toyota Yaris. If priced well, and the interior lives up to Chery’s promises of being stuffed full of technology and luxury.
The Riich M1 is a Shanghai Auto Show must see!

Hi Ash, you missed something, it is the third car after the G6 (Chery B12, Eastar 6) and G5 (Chery B21, A6).
The Chery or should i say Riich M1 looks good for a mini car!!
IF this car is as good (or close to it) as it’s purported to be…..this could change the face and image of small cars. Up until now, it was almost impossible to find a chinese small car with “big car” features like climate control, GPS/DVD (although the Chery A1 does offer it), automatic/CVT transmissions, etc….maybe the M1 will change all that. I hope so – I’m tired of having to deal with econo-box, bare bones interiors just because I prefer small cars.
It would be interesting to see. US might be an export market on this. Real demand for this class of autos. johninchina is correct that for export markets you would need AC and a automatic transmission. Also emission standards?
