Dongfeng Coupe – Makes God Angry
We were going to post this tomorrow, but with tomorrow being Good Friday, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to anger the Lord with this monstrosity.
So now that we’ve got it out of the way, we can tell you something about this ‘coupes’ creditals. First off, it will come with the usual off the shelf 2.0, 2.7l and 3.0l engines, no engine manufacturer has been mentioned, but its likely to be Mitsubishi.
Chinese commentors on the original Chinese language article were far from kind:

We can support self developed Chinese brands, but I dont know if this car is real or not, how can they make a car like this? They’ve just learned to walk and want to run, but first they need to practise their skills.

The bosses at Dongfeng must have mental problems! A sports car that uses a Mitsubishi engine [note: The Mitsubishi engines for the Chinese market are far from sporty]. I’d rather have a Beauty Leopard!
They’ve really been beaten this time. Who designed this? Ive never seen an uglier car….

That looks like the facelifted first series Hyundai Coupe which was one ugly SoB and they have managed to make it even worse!!If they actually make it and people buy it it will confirm that Chinese drivers are so desperate to get behind the wheel they will buy anything with four wheels(like a QQ!!!)
