Sporty Galant for Chinese market

The SouEast Mitsubishi Galant has not been a massive seller against the omnipresent Japanese and German competition, especially the VW Passat, Honda Accord, and the Toyota Camry. SouEast are going to introduce a sports model of the Galant in the hopes raising sales.

The sports version is expected to use a 2.4L 16v Mitsubishi engine, producing 90kW at 5250rpm and 170N·m at 2500-3000rpm. Pricing is expected to be around 200,000rmb when launched.

    You sure this doesn’t use the 4G69 Sirius engine? 90kW is hardly geat for an engine of this size especially if the car is to be considered sporty. The 4G69 2.4 engine produces 119kW
