Roewe 550 Sports – Getting better!

17 April 2009 4 Comments

The first Roewe 550 sports sedan that we saw was a little on the…. rancid side of things, but the below sports sedan is looking a lot better, even if the black plastic skirting sort of spoils the design lines:

We’re not sure if this will make it to the market in its current state, but MG-R did have MGZS/ZT’s in fantastic colors back in the day, perhaps MG-Roewe have similar plans for their MG line up, which quite frankly has non of the pizzaz of the Longbridge made models.

I quite like the colour. Looking good. Btw you realise this car will be on show at the Auto Show, don’t you? Those pictures are taken at the exhibition centre.

Hello ?? This is not a hybrid vehicle.

The litigation mainly involves the hybrid tech, beside that Ssangyong (former korean company, who is theoretically belonged to SAIC now) trade union adamantly make a lot of claims. So far, nothing has been proven yet regarding to the hybrid tech leakage.

Btw just in case you don’t know Roewe 550 is the product of the cooperation between SAIC and the British engineers, I don’t think Ssangyong or any Korean companies got anything to do with this.

Roewe 550/MG6 has nothing to do with Ssangyong indeed; Roewe 350/MG5 is a Ssangyong however.
