Geely iG – Fantastic

The Geely IG is Geely’s latest small car concept. The concept is perfect for inner city travel, and is obviously a segment that is clear for development. If Mercedes can launch the Smart range in China to target the high end of the ultra mini car market, then there is no reason why Geely cant target the low and mid range price segments.
The Geely IG is a fantastic looking car, and it might just be deserving of an electric drivetrain instead of a 4 cylinder motor to propel it around the packed city streets. This is the sort of cars that inner-city China needs, and we applaud Geely for being so forward thinking.

Looks like China’s flood of mini cars is turning out pretty well. This looks even better than the Haima. I hope the production model turns out the same!!
Absolutely love it. I wanna say this is the best looking Geely I’ve ever seen so far.
Geely plz make it !!
Nice looking concept. Being a 3 seater will be interesting, inspired by the Mclaren F1 perhaps with the driver in the centre of the car….. Not sure about only having 1 door though.
It’s a far cry better looking than the Smart for two or any of it’s imitators like Haima.
I just don’t get it ! Geely has this and a large array of models with a proven positive sales record and a terrific balance sheet that is run by a really smart guy with a very good business model, patterned after Henry Ford himself , yet — their stock is under one HK$ on the HKEX and only .14cents on the NYSE ADR’s here in the United States. What gives with that ??
After doing my due-dilligence to research this company with very favorable results , I bought one ADR “lot” of 5,000 shares and it just sits there , doing nothing. By all rights , this companies stock should be worth a whole lot more but , it just sits there.
What gives with that ???
Geely is going to be the new Toyota- that’s my prediction. DMcD be patient. My feeling is that the people running Geely are going for staying power rather than a bubble of hot air. I’ve owned Geely stock for a few years now and I’m enjoying watching the company get traction. I’m also looking forward to owning a Geely soon.
Correction: Geely is going to be the next Honda. A company that will make decent looking cars (opposed to Toyota’s bars of soap) and yet not helped by the government.
Well, o.k. , I’ll hang in there for awhile (even though its down 1 1/2cents today) —- thanx for the encouragement and moral support. Still , I’m new to foreign ADR trading and I’m starting to have suspicions that regardless of a companies ‘fundamentals’ , the ADR value is determined solely by the whims of stockholder fads and appears to be based more on popularity than true values. Even on the HKX , this stock is undervalued. Most people here in the States have never heard of a Geely but I’m noticing that many are aware of the “Brilliance” (an active $8USD ADR stock)— probably because of BMW’s joint venture with Brilliance. I would have bought into Brilliance too , except it was out of my pricerange — maybe later. If Geely ends up like Toyota or Honda (either one) , that would be great , as long as it translates to increased share value.
Thanx again.
It’ll be interesting to see whether Geely’s stock gets a bounce from their showing at the big Shangai International Car Show on Friday. I hope so.
I love how they have the wide fender flares and wheels out wider. The car would have been useless without it. It looks pretty original.
according to some sources this car will go on sale in 2010, how reliable is this information ? Anyone ?
Geely will make you rich! The key is to buy as much as possible while it is cheap. Geely is traded on the Honk Kong Stock Exchange (0175). If you live on the USA, you can buy Geely on the Pink Sheets/OTC. The symbol is GELYF. I would recommend purchasong through the Hong Kong Exchange as the trading volume is much higher, and thus the stock isuch more liquid. US investors who want to purchase Geely on the Hong Kong Exchange can do so by using E-trade’s Global Trading Platform. You will need to convert US Dollars to the Hong Kong Dollar. Geslu must be purchased in loys of 5000. As I said earlier, the key is to buy as much as possible while Geely is still cheap and relatively unknown. Geely is wanting to expand BIG TIME, and dont be surpised if Geely becomes the next Toyota. You will be rewarded for buying this stock.

Yes Geely’s latest concepts are awesome but don’t hold your breath while waiting to get rich, all you shareholders….
Geely’s got huge quality hurdles to scale before it can ever compete against the big boys in the global marketplace.
Quality is a culture, and you don’t assimilate it overnight.
wow
I purchased Geely stock 3 years ago at $0.07/share after the GM CEO said some good things about them after the Detroit Auto Show. He said they’d be a good company in about 10 years. The stock rose, but not very high. With all the problems China has had with quality of their other products, I sold all 10,000 shared at $0.17. Less than one week later, the price rises to over $0.20 for the first time! Still a decent profit percentage-wise. I’ll keep watching. The stock is still cheap at $0.25/share, so I’ll probably jump back in.
What is it with these stock touting commentors lately? Are you trying to pass off a ‘hot tip’ so other people buy the stock and drive your investment up?
are u crazy? this stock is going to hit $1 before the end of 2009
when geely buys volvo and the news hits the front page the stock price will spike and continue to rise
