Riich M1 – Ultra cute, ultra cheap!
Chery’s first range of cars for the Riich sub brand were launched today, the M1 is their cheapest offering that was launched.
- Riich M1
- Riich M1
The M1 is priced from 42,800rmb and comes with 1.3l ATECO engine (83BHP), and is packed with safety features such as reverse parking sensors, ABS, EBD and also SRS airbags which is looking like a minimum of 2 on the lower spec models, and possibly more on the higher end models.
With pricing so low, it seems that the QQ3 is getting pushed into the ultra bargain bin segment of the market, and the Riich M1 will take up the 40,000rmb – 60,000rmb segment where it will fight against domestic players such as the BYD F0, and also the Japanese 3 (Swift, Fit, and Yaris)

What is ultra-cheap? The Swift, Yaris and Fit start from just about 12.000 euro over here, something I really wouldn’t pay for a small Chinese car.
Wether it looked good two years ago, it’s all a little outdated by now.
The M1 is 4,830Euros. Is that not ultra cheap?
Woah okay, that is pretty cheap. It would be neat though if you included dollar/ euro-pricing in every post…
As for myself, I wouldn’t buy this car for this amazing price. Except outdated it looks a bit fragile somehow too.
Competitive Ash??? Even if this car is only 80% as reliable or durable as a Honda Fit, it’s only HALF THE PRICE!!! It also kicks the F0′s butt when it comes to the interior – the F0 is a MAJOR letdown on the inside……very cheap looking. While the M1′s exterior is not the most current of designs, it is a DURABLE design and will be ok for a few years. Now…..let’s see if Riich can give us a auto trans version of the M1, and keep it around 50,000rmb with all the goodies in there – THAT would be a incredible bargain.
how did it do on euro crash tests? I doubt with an auto gearbox we’ll see it in the US….
This looks like the Faira Wuwa NN 5 door shown at Beijing; otherwise known as the QQ2 or S18. Chery must get a kick out of confusing us with name changes. But will that sell cars?
China Car Times when you know them, please tell us the old names along with the new.
btw The Italians love this one…..
Yes, I believe it was a Faira/Wa Wa shown the other year. I sat in this today, not great quality, but it sells for around 40,000rmb so no big deal.
really cute
its just the daewoo matiz/chevrolet spark that chery stole from GM (shamelessly) and called it QQ, which enables them to price it so low (explained by the fact that they did not have to spend a penny on engineering). only difference betweeen this is and the QQ is the tacky body panels on the outside…
A nice developing country city car at a developing country price
????????
FROM ITALY .
C’è una versione italiana di questo modello, con marchio DR, che viene completata nella fabbrica di Isernia, nel Molise.
