GreatWall M3 SUV

21 April 2009 17 Comments

The GreatWall M3 concept SUV is a mixture of MPV and SUV which gives us a rather interesting crossover type MPV that can take on both the hardroads and the softroads, it’s sort of like a Coolbear crossover:

“it’s sort of like a Coolbear crossover” – maybe because that’s what it is!

It is a redo of the Honda Element.

The front bumper even has the silver painted lower center just like the Honda Element.

And that silver lower center was on the Hummer H2 and H3 as well. Just a typical SUV design cue. Unless you think Hummer had to “redo” the Honda Element as well.

No actually Honda copied Hummer. They even copied the bend of the hood from Hummer.

The thing is this car doesn’t look like a Hummer when you look at it from the front. It looks like a Honda Element.

He meant “Mahindra Bolero,” an Indian Jeep knockoff that doesn’t look anything like this car.

@ jackson liu:

Actually, I’m saying it has NOTHING to do with the Honda Element, using Hummer as an example. I’m just sick of people calling out design cues that are sooo generic it can be on any car. This guy is saying Great Wall copied an Element because of the silver bar. Well, it’s on the Hummer, Mercedes ML, and Honda Element. Is it a copy? No! It’s just a piece of plastic painted silver.

No I didn’t say it copied the element because of the silver bar. If you look at it head on it looks very similar. From the side a bit less. The whole lower cladding on the front bumper along with upright windshield and chunky shape. If the car was stopped at a stoplight facing me in the US. I would automatically think it was an Element. I take back that I said it is a redo of the Element. Really just the front view is very similar. Or i could just throw something out there like many people do here. It is a copy of a Volvo C30. Just kidding. Come don’t tell me when you look at this head on that you don’t see how similar it is to the honda element. I have an element and I could see myself mistaking it for one easily.

Aron,
This website is all yours. It is complete bullshit. The editorials are just asking to be picked apart. They are so opionated. You have that kind of editorial and you are asking for other opionated people to try and dominate the comments when they are just opened and unedited.
