CBU Presents Premier New Energy Auto Conference
Along with the 2009 Auto Shanghai exhibition comes a number of different conferences, all providing crucial value to the Chinese Auto Industry. While the economic slowdown evidently caused China Auto News to cancel their annual conference, the automotive industry consulting group China Business Update hosted the 2009 Presidents Forum which was strong and well attended.
This year’s conference is entitled New Energy, Fuel Efficient and Green
Vehicles: Global Development and China’s Opportunities, providing a valuable opportunity for industry experts to gather and exchange views.
The CBU conference featured speakers from almost every major auto
manufacturer in China including GM China, Daimler, Toyota, Nissan,
Beiqi-Foton, Chana, Geely and BYD. Presentations by Magna Powertrain and Delphi Powertrain Systems focussed on hybrid drive systems which represent leading technology launching energy saving vehicles in the future. Both
companies indicated will be manufactured in Chinese vehicles beginning in the 2010-2011 model years.
While the automobile industry may be in the midst of a global slowdown, the healthy attendance at the 2009 President’s Forum demonstrated that the
Chinese automobile industry continues to grow and prosper, with China
Business Update becoming the automobile industry’s leading automobile
conference sponsor.
