Chang’an Concept Car

The Chang’an Concept car was slightly ridiculed over at Autoblog for looking a little like a Citroen concept, although as the Chang’an concept is so abstract, we couldn’t see any sort of resemblance.

From what we understand, the little Chang’an E301 is expected to come with an electric or hybrid drivechain. In the pictures, the E301 looks like quite a big vehicle, in reality, the concept is quite small. Perhaps this concept is set to be a Qashqai like softroader for Chang’ans car line up.

It’s a copy of Citroen and volvo concept. Chinese company likes to copy more than two brands and put them together.

I don’t see that much resemblance to the Citroen. I just pulled it up. The front ever so slightly but not really. The gull wing doors have been done by everyone including customizing shops all over. It looks more like it should be amphibious that anything. Can it go in a lake also?

What is the Volvo that it looks like?

  3. avatar mememe says:

Exactly this Tomson guy keeps on making bogus claims about this concept car, first he said that this car is a copy of Ford and Volvo (a few weeks before) and now he says it’s a copy of Citroen and Volvo, then go on show us the Ford and Volvo and Citroen you’re talking about.

  4. avatar Ocho9 says:

Maybe I looked at the wrong Citroen? I followed link to C-Metisse or something like that. Looks like a car with a funky 4 door or 3 door setup. I remember seeing some odd 4 wheel drive car before. Maybe I looked at the wrong one?

mememe, if you weren’t being a sensitive little b!tch you would figure it by now. Go do some research and stop following me like a little B!tch. When did I said they copy from ford? Volvo is own by ford.

No one is even talking to a sensitive fool like you, and why you always get a hard on for my comment?

Volvo and Chan’an are partner in China so go figure it out for yourself.

This is my only reply to you a sensitive fool like you. You will ignore by me.

OK then ignore me but please don’t use your kind of language against me, I was just simply asking you to show us the kind of Volvo you are claiming. I am fully aware that Chang’an is a part of Volvo in China, so any concept cars from Chang’an is automatically a copy of Volvo ?

If you think you’re unable to answer my question then just ignore the post above but otherwise please give a proper answer and stop calling other people bitch. I think I am not the only one asking you to show us the Volvo you’re talking about, there are another 2 persons here ask the same question, ocho9 and the other guy in the Chang’an concept thread.

  9. avatar mememe says:

Btw this is what you said about Chang’an concept a few weeks ago

Btw this is the first time I actually reply to your comment so I don’t really always get hard on your comments like you claim.

I did a search under Citroen concepts but I couldn’t find anything that similar other than the link the C-metisse which is pretty different.

I’m glad I don’t read this blog for editorial opinions…

Take a leaf out of Top Gear and notice that you can’t be a decent motoring journalist (actually a decent critic at all) unless you’re evenly critical to start with. Save your praise for something decent then we’ll listen. There’s no face to save when you’re trying to defend something that’s a milieu of competition designs in quirky proportions. I give them credit for not copying the production car but the concept now.

  12. avatar Ash says:

Ok Casper, Im off to drive needlessly accross a country next week, If I’m lucky I might be even able to drop a piece of British motoring history from a very large crane, or even blow it up completely for no reason whatsoever, whilst wearing cowboy boots and spouting hyperbole like the God, the automotive legend, J.Clarkson.

  13. avatar ocho9 says:

Wow. This is ridiculous. No one respects anyone else. Even the editor Ash. Where are you people from? This is the worst site I have ever been on for hatred and narrow mindedness. I won’t be back to listen to the baby bickering and bullshit editorial. By the way I love top gear. They are funny. Obviously you don’t have a sense of humor or any wit to you. Hasta!

    Sirs,

I believe this place (web-site, blog or does not matter how you want to call this place) is a very important source of information about Chinese Industry!

We have to agree, however, that would be much more professional and polite that everyone respects third people opinion.

Everywhere, helthy discussions appointing arguments are much more interesting assisting us to growth professionaly and personaly.

Believe that is good to see the opinions of everyone, does not matter how stuppid the might be sometimes.

Would suggest that the people that have been involved in hostil exchange of messages make a peace agreement! Because competition is just good in the market and with argumentation, not between people touching the personal feelings.

With the best regards from a Daily Reader!

    J.I. Hosang
