I’m not so sure about this – you can’t register diesel cars in first-tier cities such as Beijing. Unless they are bringing over clean diesel tech, but where can you buy clean diesel fuel here?
My guess is the poor quality diesel fuel here would kill most advanced European diesel engines.
Yes, China is not yet ready for clean diesel (though the need is very much there).
