VW Jetta to get the chop in 2012 too
In addition to the VW Santana ending production in 2012, it seems that the Jetta will be following it out of the door.
Apparently, the VW Jetta will be replaced in China by a new Sagitar (the current Euro Jetta), which might push the current basic Sagitar 1.6l into a taxi role. The VW Lavida may also end up in taxi livery, once the Santana, and the Jetta have gone

I would have thought the New Bora is a more likely replacement as it is cheaper. Also by then I would have thought VW will be producing a 6th generation Jetta, but what that will be called in China is anyone’s guess.
this old jetta should retire must early and replace by
new generation model.
come on now is 2009 not 1999.
