Great Wall Goes Xerox again
Another GreatWall Hatchback has been spotted out testing, albeit being towed from the back of a truck:
The automotive website, auto.sohu.com, is reporting that this is the production version of the Greatwall i7 hatchback from several years ago. The overall design looks to be very similar to the current Toyota Yaris, which is made by the Guangzhou-Toyota joint venture, whether or not Toyota will finally put an end to all this copying is yet to be seen.

How is toyota yaris performance in china market?
i guess it must be very popular or GW will not
going to borrow the design.
The Yaris is double price than the Great Wall copy…
CCT: wasn’t Tianjin FAW producing a licensed Yaris as well ?
Guangzhou Toyota sold 19,170 units of the Yaris in 2008. Not bad for a mid-year start up…
I think Great Wall calls their knockoff the Xuanli. And yes, FAW Tianjin produced the Yaris as the Vitz or Weizi, but under license. They sold just 1,084 units in 2008.
I’m getting so tired of seeing chinese copies that I don’t even find this unusual anymore…
It’s reached a point that I’ll be surprised when I see something that hasn’t been copied…
Just don’t support them. They obviously don’t are if the steal someone elses design. They aren’t going to change their tune very quickly if people buy their product. Sales are what matters.
just another copycat…
the rear end just like the renault clio..
shame!
I would have to see them side by side. Everyone said the BYD F0 was the same too and I don’t see that at all. The car looks nothing like it other than being small. If you build a small car you become limited to what you can do with it just because it is small.
