Chinese built TX4 to go on sale on June 8th

The Geely built London cab, aka the TX4, will go on sale on June 8th with a price tag of 300,000rmb.

The iconic (we must use this word to describe the cab, or Paul Stowe will get angry) taxi cab will be up for sale to private, or taxi buyers from the 8th June. Under the hood the TX4 will have the choice of either a petrol with a manual gearbox, or a diesel with an automatic gearbox (we hear the diesel one is great)

The TX4 appears to be set to be marketed more as a ‘business vehicle’ than a taxi in the PRC. The first TX4 to be sold in China was sold during the Shanghai Auto Show to a Chinese businessman.

The TX4 will be sold under the Geely Englon (we think this means England-London) brand and will be available nationwide as of the 8th June at selected Geely dealers.
