China Dragon to launch in 2009 second half!
In the news that you’ve all been waiting for, the China Dragon, one of Geely’s finest creations (perhaps) is due to launch in the second half of 2009. (after a slight delay) Under the hood of this fine beast is either a 1.5l or a larger 1.8L engine, perfect for the sports car connoisseur amongst us. The price is also pretty good, with the 1.5 starting at 86,000rmb which means even in these tight economic times we can still waft about, and look totally hot whilst at the wheels of the China Dragon!

The Dragon’s safety specs are not set out to disappoint, the Dragon boasts ABS+EBD, central locking, seats that can be adjusted (!), reversing sensors, a door open alarm, and 4 disk brakes (!)

This dragon, however, is a hideous beast.
Rick, I think he is talking about the U.S. version Tiburon. The one in China was sold in the U.S. up to like 7-8 years ago. The Genesis coupe is the same styling as the Tiburon in the U.S.

Perhaps, but that’s an assumption – either way, my point was that I like the new US tiburon and genesis(CN rohens) coupe body.
Mix no style with ugly, take a tiburon, throw in some probe, eclipse, and zx4 and wam! You get this car!!

@ Rick: I meant the hyundai tiburon (aka hyundai coupe, in some markets). Not the Genesis. I didn’t say “new tiburon”..

I think the Genesis coupe is still not good looking, but technically very well done. The tiburon, on the other hand, is both ugly and lame…
