Roewe 150 Spy shots – Bland to the bone!

Roewe 150 spy shots made it onto the internet early this morning, complete with an ‘artists rendering’ of what the finished product may look like. Previous ‘spy shots’ of a Roewe 250 showed a Fiat Punto with some wires hanging out from under the hood, although that was likely to have been a test mule for an engine rather than a ‘cloned car’.
The Roewe 150, or possibly 250, will be Roewe’s first small car, an actual launch date has yet to be announced, but it could be unveiled at an end of year auto show, possibly Beijing or Guangzhou. The 150 is probably not going to be based off the Rover 25 platform, as it is a little bit too long in the tooth for modern day application.
It has to be stressed that the above mock ups are an artists impression of what might come from Roewe, but if this is what’s coming, then we certainly think it’s lacking in character, and style.

will use the 1.8T engine??
likely to be new 1.5 and 1.5T from SAIC
The car looks good and will for sure sale very well, but it’s nothing special and looks a bit like car’s of other carmakers…..put a Kia or Suzuki badge on it and it will look indeed like a Kia or Suzuki.
Doesn’t look bad. A bit dull, but that’s a pro if a new brand would like to come to Europe. The front looks like the MG6.
I think the artist renderings are incorrect. If you look at the spy shots the C pillars are curved where as the mock ups are straight. Anyway let’s hope it’s a bit more inspiring.
These are just modified images of a Scion xD/Toyota ist!
