Bentley to invest 300 million RMB in China in 2009

The British car maker Bentley is set to invest a further 3 billion RMB into the Chinese market place, as they see the Chinese market as one of their major growth areas in 2009.
Whilst the rest of the world has languished in an economic downturn this year, Bentley has bucked the trend in China with car sales improving. In 2008 they sold an impressive 407 cars in China, and plans to increase those sales to 1000 cars per year by the year 2014. Although the actual numbers are small, it would be wise for our dear readers to remember that the average Bentley costs around 3.3 million RMB, going upto an impressive 12 million RMB.
Bentley currently has 8 dealerships in China, but also plans to have at least 20 by 2014.
