No big changes for new Jetta
The new Jetta is not going to die, in fact, it’s getting a round of rhinoplasty to give its front and rear a lift for 2010.
Despite the current Chinese Jetta being a 1984 mark 2 VW Jetta, the Chinese have an odd love affair with the basic motor, probably due to its inability to die after suffering abuse at the hands of taxi drivers (million km Jetta’s are quite common) and the widespread availability of cheap parts. The VW Jetta was rumoured to be getting the Luger treatment in mid 2009, but it has been granted a stay of execution. Previous pictures on China Car Times revealed that the Jetta will be getting upgrades to its front and rear lights, and judging by the spy shot belows it seems to be largely true.
