Nissan top brass were out to say that the Chinese market would be among the first markets to receive the van, and it would go into production via the Zhengzhou-Nissan JV later this year.

The NV200 van has been spotted out road testing (above left) and looks very similar to the concept shown in Shanghai.

Nissan are trying to breakaway from the traditional MPV mould with an MPV that can be used in both a commercial, and peoply carrying sense. Early reports indicate that the Nv200 will be given a 1.6l gasoline engine for the Chinese market, with the possibility of a 2.0l engine being added a later date, both manual and automatic versions are expected to be launched.
