The Dongfeng S30 was launched several days ago with much fanfare due to its sharp looks and low price.
Dongfeng have priced the S30 sedan from 75,800rmb to 99,800rmb for different specifications of the 1.6l including manual and automatic gearbox options.
The 1.6l engine used in the S30 is the same one that was used in the Citroen ZX but updated for 2009. Using this engine makes the car competitive in the small displacement tax bracket and is likely to win the S30 many customers in the Chinese marketplace. Dongfeng are expected to produce a hatchback version, and a crossover version in the coming year.

I see strong hints of the BMW 3-series in that first shot.
Wow, looks good considering how incredibly cheap it is.
Good for new buyers on a budget.
wow,not bad at all!!!
The back sure does look like a mixture of the New Kia Forte mixed with Hyundai Elantra. The front grill a car of its size. Other then that you can’t expect more from a car that cost 75,800rmb
I seem to remember this car at the Shanghai Auto Show being really ugly and awkward looking.
