BYD F3 getting cheaper

bydf31 300x173 BYD F3 getting cheaperThe BYD F3 is one of China’s best selling self developed car, with it often selling over 10,000 units per month, but now it is set to get cheaper thanks to a self developed engine.

The BYD F3 currently uses an off the shelf Mitsubishi engine, which is good as a marketing point to the consumer, but also bumps up the pricing. BYD plan to use a self developed 1.5l and 1.8l in the near future to lower the overall cost of the car, and improve sales.

Hello, guys! In Russia yet sells 1.5 (99 hp) version of F3. WTF? Is BYD-self engine or engine by MMC?

Self developed car??? Muahahahaha, don’t be funny…everybody knows that BYD F3 is a copy of Toyota Corolla 2005 model. In my country the BYD F3 owners use to replace the BYD logo with overknown Toyota’s one, just do not show to others that they are driving a Chinese car instead of a Toyota )))

People need to stop accussing chinese brands of being copycats. These are great original designs.

Murk, are you BYD PR people?
Digging out old threads on BYD and make defense won’t help.
Just lower the price of all BYD products will help.
There are lots of first-time immatured buyers out there.

Once you drive one of them you know for yourself what the car really is. Unless you have maybe never driven another car. Then they may seem great.
