Geely’s first SUV to launch in October ’09
Geely’s first SUV is set to launch this year in October according to news that was released earlier today. Geely will be building their first SUV in a new Chengdu facility, in which they have invested 3 billion RMB. Geely is expected to begin production in mid September and have the car in showrooms in October this year.
Geely is expected to put their ‘World SUV’ into production in 2010 at the same factory, and will see international sales sometime later.

Is the first production SUV from Geely the tiny GX3 wannabe-SUV, that is based on the Aoo?
There’s not enough pictures of this Geely SUV to decide if it can kick some butt.
Front looks promising. Hints of Mazda CX-7 and the new Hyundai ix35 in the mix there. Horizontal chrome bar reminds me of Chevrolet vehicles.
In the West, a great place to build an SUV…..
But this photo looks like the Geely GC sedan, not the CE SUV ???
