BYD G3′s face leaks out
BYD are most certainly a car maker of the future, not just in China but internationally as well. Their recent deals which have seen them supply battery tech to SAIC and also VW has shown that they are racing ahead with their electric car plans.
Until electric cars become common place, BYD are still pushing ahead with their gasoline powered range of cars which spreads from small superminis to large sedans, their latest compact sedan is the BYD G3.
The BYD G3 was rumoured to be a ‘mini Lexus’ thanks to its rear end appearing on CCT earlier this year, but the front end is certainly Toyota Vios in style.
The G3 is set to be built on the same platform as the current BYD F3 which is certainly a best seller already for BYD. Its not sure how big the F3 is expected to be, or if it is set to be a replacement for the current F3. The F3 is probably going to be sold from between 60,000rmb and 100,000rmb once it is launched later this year.
A BYD G6 is also in the works which apparently looks very much look like the current eighth generation Honda Accord. We’re still waiting for info on the BYD T6 though.
It seems that BYD’s fetish for Toyota vehicles is still on going.

This is probably the best designed and most stylish Byd yet.
It is self-designed and not almost 100%-copied from another car.
Not agree on the self-designed point of view as the front and rear looks like the Toyota Camry known in Malaysia or Toyota Aurion in Australia.
wow, that looks awesome! Go BYD!!
ho hum….
I see more of a Lavida front end myself, but then I’d agree with comment no1; it is the best BYD sedan to date!
The front echoes a Toyota Vios…but actually it looks very different. Actually, the G3′s front looks much better.
Actually, I am not convinced these photos are real. If you look closely, these photos are definitely not of the same car. At least one of these photos is a fake.
