BYD’s S6 SUV revealed, a Lexus RX by another name
BYD really have a thing for Toyota’s designs, first it was the BYD F3 which was practically a Toyota Corolla, then the Toyota Aygo, and now the BYD S6 which is pretty much a Lexus RX SUV, but with a BYD badge.
The exterior is very similar to the Lexus RX350, and the dashboards could practically pass for twins in the street.
Info on this particular model has not yet leaked out of BYD, but we can expect that the BYD S6 SUV to be carrying a 1.8L, 2.0L or 2.4L engine, with the car being produced by BYD there is the possibility that it could be a hybrid or pure electric at some point in the future.

i still confuse, doesn’t it assumed a copyright abuse ?
BYD doesnt follow regular unwritten rules that other car companies follow.
Oh yeah! BYD is going after Lexus!
Going after Lexus with their own products? A novel idea!
They should change the name from BYD (Build Your Dreams) to BTM (Build Toyota’s Memories).
STUPID RIGHTS THEFT
I don’t see many similarities between the two. Anyways, GO BYD!!
So disappointed. BYD is recording remarkable sales, I thought they would invest more in designs but they just keep pumping out copies.
and plus BYD has its own battery manufacturing so BYD is not short of cash, is it ? how come it cannot afford a decent design ?
Breathtakingly disgusting. SHAME on BYD. A lot of decision makers within the Chinese auto industry simply need to be fired.
Well, from what it looks like to me, we’re just looking at a rendering. I’m sure when the final product comes out, it’ll probably be some ancient Isuzu chassis with a Lexus front and rear grafted on.
As long BYD outsells Hyundai in China, I’m a happy camper.
People need to stop accussing chinese cars as copycats or clones. These are original designs.
Man check out this copied car!
BYD makes SO many copies! (The Merc/ Toyota Aygo/ and now THIS!) Seriously, these Chinese car companies NEED to hire some real designers and come up with something original (if it really is an “original” design, how would the car end up looking 90% like a Lexus rx??). Another thing. Might be a good idea to start investing in more engineering talents to make better engines. Not sure how well a 1.8L- 2.4L would work, even in Beijing traffic.
The 2.4liter Honda engine in the CRV and the minivan are great. Plenty of power. Although I am talking manual. I have never driven it in an Auto. It loves to be run up to the red line.
