Unknown sedan spotted in China – CCT readers to the rescue!
The below sedan was recently spotted out testing in China, but nobody knows what exactly it is, thus we need CCT readers help:
The photos first appeared on the Chinese auto website, auto.sohu.com and their current guesses are: Dongfeng self developed vehicle based on a Nissan platform (from the Nissan-Dongfeng JV), a Nissan Sentra, or a Renault Laguna.
What are your guesses? Karma will be awarded to whoever figures it out.

Is this not something from the infiniti range? the bumper and light surrounding suggest so?
I guess it is either a sedan of the new brand developed by Guangzhou or it is the first notchback sedan from Great Wall.
This is only speculation.
After researchs, I think it’s a Nissan Bluebird Sylphy, the actual version is born in 2006, maybe it’s a facelift or a special version for China…
I think so too, its certainly got the side and rear profile but the front end screams otherwise, plus the facelift Bluebird Sylphy has only just launched.
People,
Would give two more possibilities:
1 – Is just a Hyundai Elantra facelifted;
2 – Is something from Roewe, once the grill is the same from the Ssangyong models (kyron and the incoming facelifted Action and Action Sports);
But the possibilities that this model is the new Sentra or Altima from Nissan or a new product from Great Wall is quite strong as well.
Best regards,
J. I. Hosang
Nissan already have a strong sedan line up in China, so another sedan edition seems like an odd choice, the Elantra is also a reasonably new launch so unlikely to be ready for a facelift yet.
My initial impression was either something from Nissan or something of Korean origin.
I think it’s a either a MG or a Roewe.
In my opinion it doesn´t look like a MG or Roewe.
The 350 or MG 4?/5? looks different, at least as a concept car in form of the N1 Concept.
its Proton Next Model..
Are you sure? Then would this be a mitsubishi galant vehicle, or the one built on the R750?
this should be lotus youngman model
