Chinese built Citroen C5 to launch next month
In China, it certainly seems that mid size sedan segment is controlled by the Japanese and German automakers, but soon the French plan on getting in on the action too.
A Dongfeng-Citroen built C5 is set to launch next month pushing the first mid sized French sedan back into the market since the disastrous launch of the Peugeot 505 in the mid 90′s.
The Citroen C5 is expected to cost beween 200,000rmb and 300,000rmb, although there are rumors of a sub 200k entry level model. The C5 will find itself some stiff competition from VW Magotan, Toyota Camry, and Honda Accord, all of which are highly popular cars in that segment.

We think the timing is much better now for the launch of a car of this size now then it was in the 90′s for Peugeot.
We hope that it meets with great success.
