The current Buick HRV is the only hatchback in the Buick line up, and is aging rapidly when compared to the ultra new Buick Lacrosse, Regal and Enclave in Buick China dealerships, but that will all change in January 2010 when Buick launches their new Buick HRV, aka the Opel Astra in Buick dress.
The Buick HRV will come with three engines, a 1.8 automatic, a 1.6 manual, a 1.6 automatic, the best of the bunch: a 1.6T automatic.
The upcoming HRV isnt that different from the current Opel Astra, other than its Buick front grill, the rest of the car is still basically the Opel Astra. The HRV will launch at an important time as January is traditionally a very good sales month for cars, and the sixth generation VW Golf will also launch at the same time.

Okay I give up..what’s an HRV? Is it a handy recreational vehicle? Or is it anything you want it to be, like the compact Honda CR-V?
Can’t keep up with the multiplicity of acronyms being applied to the same old car designs.
HRV=Human Resource Vehicle?
Thank you, Rene
