Skoda Yeti to be produced next year
The Skoda brand has come from no where to becoming one the hottest upcoming brands in China in a very short time. Skoda have so far launched the Fabia, Octavia, and the Superb into China and are planning to put the Skoda Yeti into production in early 2010 according to early reports.
A launch date has not yet been announced, however it is widely believed that Skoda will launch the Yeti sometime in the first half of next year and will coincide with the launch of the Chinese built VW Tiguan. Power for the Yeti is expected to be the 1.2TSI, but as this is not currently built in China another engine from the SAIC-VW line up is likely to be used and probably around a 1.4TSI or 1.6l engine to keep the Yeti in the sub 1.6l sales tax bracket.
