Chinese made Golf GTI spotted again, to launch early 2010


The Chinese built Golf GTI is expected to launch early in 2010 according to our sources and will almost be the same as the European model. Rumours of a March 2010 launch have been circulating around the internet, but a final launch date has yet to be announced by FAW-VW who are currently preparing to launch the sixth generation Golf.

    Looks like it has small wheels.

    I can’t *stand* small wheels on a vehicle intended to be ‘sporty’. Absolutely don’t understand it. I can’t stand driving them either, I feel like I’m driving in clownshoes and need some “dee dit deedaleedeet dee dit deedaleedeet” circus music on while driving in circles in fast forward.

    Yes, they have been taken down from 18inch to either 17 or 16inch.

    No problem, Taobao has the original 18inches for sale :D

    Trust me, 17″ is much more practical (comfortable) given the condition of many of the roads here.
