BYD G3 to launch this month, price 56,800 to 76,800rmb
The eagerly awaited BYD G3 is set to launch on October 26th and will give BYD yet another stab at the compact sedan market which they have been ruling like a king for the past few months.
The BYD G3 will be powered by a 1.5L Mitsubishi engine, and a 1.8L engine which is BYD’s own offering. The self designed and built 1.8L engine is will produce 122BHP (90kW) and have a max torque of 160Nm. The 1.5l engine will come with a 5 speed manual, where as the 1.8l will be given a CVT gearbox.
The G3 will be priced as follows:
- Standard GL-i : 56,800rmb
- GLX-i: 59,800rmb
- GS-i: 66,800rmb
- GLX-i NAVI: 76,800
Furthermore, the BYD G3 is expected to carry the CAN-BUS system as standard, keyless entry, engine start button as well as the usual safety features such as crash protection bars, ABS, EBD etc
